Guest Blog: Crafty Baby Shower Projects

I am so excited to feature Guest Blogger Nicole Davis again today.
Hello Crafty Friends!
My name is Nicole and I'm glad to be a guest blogger on Rina's FABULOUS blog.
Baby Shower Crafting
I have been busy co-planning a friend's baby shower and I'm here to share some fun crafty projects & shower ideas.

This "It's a boy" card, above, was created using corrugated cards (Recollections). I used the My Mind's Eye lime twist: out of the blue paper collection, and a Some Odd Girl digi image colored with Copic Markers.
This album will be the baby's 1st baby album. I'm in the process of filling the album with sonogram pics, advice cards from the guest at the baby shower, other baby shower keepsakes, and pictures of the baby boy when he arrives.
I've also asked Mom and Dad-to-be to write letters to the baby before he arrives. I think this is a personal detail that is extremely special for when the baby gets older and can read his parents sentiments and happiness for his arrival.
Baby Shower Favors:  Mason Jars
As you can see in the photo above, we made the cutest Baby Shower favors. Mason jars are definitely trending now. The paper straws and rock candy added a special to the favor. The rock candy is deliciously yummy. I purchased the ribbon that we used on the Mason Jars from Michael's.  The straws can be found at either your local craft/scrapbook store or online at Paper Source.
Baby Games
Baby games were printed in colored paper that matched the colors of the shower and were waiting on each guest's seat.
Yarn Pom Poms
We also handmade Yarn Pom Poms. Here is a tutorial that Rina found:
I hope you've enjoyed my baby shower ideas. Thanks for reading.

  1. These are great ideas, especially the Yarn Pom Poms. I was wondering, what was the over-all theme of the boy baby shower?

    1. Miki E, So sorry to reply so late. The baby shower was a color-based theme! Thank you for your comment.

  2. These are awesome ideas! I am trying to organize a shower for my wife, but I have very little time to get things together correctly. As of now all I have ordered is baby shower invitations, but that is mainly because I have no idea of what else to get. I am going to enlist the help of some friends, but I am definitely stealing some of these ideas. Thank you for sharing!
